I have been on a team project for a while. Some of my team members have been taking it really easy with their deliverables. Now, I am the kind of person who gets bothered by unfinished task and our lack of progress has weighed on my mind.
Today morning, after working out at the gym, a phrase popped to mind. “The Elastic Limit” Merriam-Webster defines it as: the greatest stress that an elastic solid can sustain without undergoing permanent deformation.
“Don’t come too close..” I stammered as I placed my cup of coffee down. I have seen that look in his face before. That curious, persistent look.
It is easy to despise familiarity. We often assume far less of things done by ourselves or people close to us. But are easily enticed by the unfamiliar. That is what makes us vulnerable.
Recently, One of my colleagues had an urgent task she needed done. Unfortunately, the person, who would normally do it, had changed roles and his replacement was a little sluggish on the uptake.
I am a strong advocate for going the extra mile, hence my propensity for volunteering. I do this, to avoid my comfort zone and learn something new. My latest Lesson: Helpless Leadership.

I found it!!! I found a new routine all together that I think I will do for a while. Its dance cardio and A LOT of fun. It’s basically 2 videos each about 13-14 minutes long, which translates to just north of 20 minutes. (Perfect!) And they work your body without heavy strain.
