TIDY KNOT
I’ll admit, for all the lackluster-ness this week has had for me, it sure has flown by fast. And I’m not sorry to see it go. (I’m waving at it as it passes by) so long week, Heeellloooo weekend!!!
I’ve been trying to settle back down into my zone. I mentioned recently that I want to rediscover my priorities and I want to put in a solid effort into this. By Monday I want to be back in focus and psyched up towards something. We’ll see how this goes.
On a different note, I just had lunch with S today and we had another one of these philosophical discussions about why people do the things they do. We came to 2 different conclusions. She said it’s because things just happen and there is no helping it. People go with the flow. I agree that this is the attitude most people have toward….everything these days.
But I feel like people act the way they do now because value systems have changed and so attitudes have changed with it. But I also feel like people can choose to react to these situations in a positive way (which is not always the easiest, but it offers more closure I think)
Now I know I’ve given a very vague description of the conversation but all you have to know that this was a very extensive dialogue that touched on, among other things (Brangelina and other celebrity relationships, homewreckers, failed relationships in general, responsibilities of both parties to this situation, human nature….and all that good stuff down that line of thought)
As you can imagine, it was a very colorful argument, as all arguments with S tend to be, and very enlightening too, because me and her see things very differently. And honestly, like these discussions. I always walk away feeling broader minded or a little more grounded in my opinion.
(I may go into detail about some of the things we talk about in later posts, but we’ll see)

Anyway, that’s what’s been going on with me today. I really felt out of it again today, but it’s just because I stayed up too late last night, so it was my fault. Still I felt I had to write and close this week on a happy note.
