I have made a goal to be a serious blogger.

I know i know… Its a little too late to be making  resolutions, but i like to think I’m just being extra early for 2017. But I’m finding that this is easier said and done. I remember so often that when I watch my favorite vlogs on YouTube they always mention their weekly deadline like it’s a serious issue. Making actual effort to keep it consistent. I figured that it’s because they are getting paid for it. (Most of these channels have a large following, and that equals a check from YouTube). In other words, it’s a job for them.

But even then I figured that they started the channel as a fun hobby, so even if they are getting money for it, it’s still the same, but even this may not be true. Money has a way of changing the rules. And once you get into the routine of working and getting paid, you find that it actually starts taking effort to do the things that were formerly so easy for you.

But I feel like I’m going off on a tangent here. What I’m trying to say is, once you decide to commit to something, even if it was fun and easy and you wanted to do it every day for life, once you get down to turning it into an art form that is What You Do, you have to accept the fact that that transformation to turn it into a respectable profession will take work. And anyone who has been through it will tell you, work is not easy.

It takes patience and sacrifice and time. And you won’t see it through if you are not committed.
