THE END AND FRESH GOALS

Break out the fireworks and bring out the cake! I’ve officially come to the end of my 7 week challenge. Well granted I still have one more day in terms of my 7 week exercise routine, (because Sundays are my rest days and its Friday today) but I have seen it through with only 2 mishaps. (They day I gave in to laziness and the day I crippled myself with new shoes)
All in all I believe it’s been a fruitful experience. I’ve done a lot and accomplished a lot that I would never have been able to do otherwise. I got back into daily exercise (and this is big. You would know if you have seen my earlier blogs). I have even started the project that’s been threatening me with ulcers for almost a year. (You guys. It opened up to me like the red sea. I tell you God answers prayers. I just woke up one day next week with this uncanny conviction to just start typing, and it WORKED! I just finished chapter one! Yeah :))
I’ve also kept my commitment to blog every day during the week without fail for the most part. And to be honest about this, I’m not sure whether or not I should keep this up or shrink it down to 2 or three times a week, or even just once. It might be easier, but I’ve got the sense that part of the reason I was able to start my project finally, so smoothly (apart from the other fact that I was reading a lot of academic papers for a while) is that I was writing every day. I think I was able to express my idea better and more easily in the paper because of the self-expression blogging has allowed me to do.
Alternatively, I was thinking, for the 3 additional weeks I’ve added to my current exercise routine, that I would instead just use that time to focus on my books. (I did mention before that I write, didn’t I?) And I haven’t spared any time for it this year. Maybe I could focus on that instead, for a while.
Anyhow, my goals for the 7 weeks have more or less been achieved and I am grateful. I’m grateful to God for helping me keep it together. I’m grateful to you fellow growers for allowing me to talk about it with you guys and consequently helping me stay on course and not lose sight of my target. And finally I am thankful that it is all over.
Now all that’s left to do is take stock, think ahead to what I want to work on next (i.e. saving up for my business. Exercise for my beach body, completing my project in the next 3 months, my academic attachment… these are most of what I was thinking I would get into in the next round. My goal this time will be 10 weeks.) Naturally, there are some things I will keep on doing regardless of the end of my 7 week challenge. (I.e. exercise and project…) But for the most part, I think the momentary 3 week break from the intense stuff will do me good.)
I don’t want to slack off for too long though. Remember, ‘time waits for no man’. And I have big things to actively go after and achieve. (I said I’m trying to be a billionaire right?) And so I have to get my ass moving NOW!
But those are just some of my goals and future plans for now. What about you guys?
I’m out. See you guys next post!!!! 🙂
