KEEPING THE FAITH – losing weight

I’m trying to lose weight. I know, I know. “I should walk the talk.”

Right?

I was really committed once. Right after high school. But it didn’t really go the way I wanted. I got really fit. My endurance was like an athlete’s. sort of anyway! (which is something because I’ve never been the sporty type) But there was no significant weight loss. I’m told it was because I had been building up my core strength while neglecting cardio. So, a year ago, I go frustrated and quit.

For 6 straight months, no exercise. Soon, I started to feel limited in what I could do. Limits that were not there before.

Then around June, I was forced to reassess myself. I had gained a lot of weight. Don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t obese, but I was not healthy either.

So, I decided to reactivate the regiment and it was hard.

I am still trying to get back on wagon and it’s been a struggle y’all. rebuilding my commitment and consistency is so HARD.

I now do more cardio and I won’t lie, it’s working, but keeping it up (I’m trying to do it daily) is JUST SO HARD!

Ok, now I’m whining, but, it’s my blog and I’m gonna vent.

I will mention though, that these difficulties I have developed a more laid back attitude towards exercise, health and fitness. I know that even if you skip a few days in the routine, you can still lose weight. So, it’ll work out.
