REST EASY: MIRACLE IN PROGRESS
What do miracles look like? How do they feel?
I think I experienced a miracle this Monday.
Last week, I had an interview for my visa application which I was late for. In addition, I didn’t have all the documents required so I was sent away and instructed to re-book the appointment when ready.
However, when I tried to book it, the only available slot was 3 weeks later which would have been too LATE for me to make my trip.
When I tried to contact the embassy, I got the automated message which if I may paraphrase, said;
‘We already gave you proper instruction. Go back and read them.’
In other words,
We don’t care that you are a living, breathing human being, capable of error. It’s your fault, so deal with it! 🙁
Feeling helpless, I prayed about it, then spent the remainder of the week sulking
Come Monday this week, on a whim, I check the online booking platform and was shocked to find a slot opened for the very next day!!!
Hurray!
I was trembling so badly while trying to register for that slot because there was a possibility more people had seen it.
I succeeded!
On Tuesday, I reported to the embassy and would you believe it, while waiting in line, I heard the Man in front of me try to explain why his name was not on the list of expected visitors yet he had the email invitation. He had inadvertently cancelled it.
He was the reason I got the appointment!
He appeared to be an older, tech un-savvy guy and the Guard took pity on him because of his honesty and let him in anyway.
We both got our interviews.
He might think it was just a stupid accident, but I beg to differ.
God was in control and while it caused him a little angst, it was the answer to my prayer.
Lesson: When things go wrong. Rest easy. There is a miracle in progress! Have a blessed remainder of the week?
