As Parts of a Whole

Today I drank the most tasteless cup of tea. I am a serious sweet tooth, so You can imagine how much I suffered; at first that is. As I gulped down the tea, it became tastier and I didn’t mind it anymore. This got me thinking. Life is like that cup of tea. It seems tasteless and you want to add some things to it to make it more palatable which may not necessarily be good for your well-being in the long run. Particularly when added in excess.  Sometimes forfeiting those things may seem hard but with time you realize you do not actually need them; at least not in high quantities.

I felt very accomplished. It feels good to not have to have something additional to enjoy something else. The joy in living lies in enjoying everything individually; because then it is no longer an addition when you have them together but a multiplication of the joy that comes with having them together.
