Happy New Year, Everybody.

The more life moves forward the more I realize that we exist for one thing.

We exist for others.

More even than for ourselves.

Think about it.  We think that we can be totally independent, doing things that ultimately satisfy us as individuals but, truthfully, the more we get closer to this goal, the more it seems to get further away from us.

I believe there is a deep-seated universal truth or law, if you will, right under our noses but most of us cannot quite see it.  And yes, I believe it is one of those life lessons that we need to learn while still alive here on this earth.

Everything we are doing, almost always, depends on others and this to me brings a profound revelation.  “Help others get what they want, To get what you want”, is a quote attributed to have been said by someone.

But the deeper truth is “We exist for others”.  The more this maxim is a truth for you the more, ultimate, satisfaction becomes manifest in your life.

As we usher in the new year, may you move closer and closer to living for others.  Amen.
