\u201cAnd let thunder strike me and the charge flow quickly through my arm if I\u2019m lying\u201d<\/p>\n
Or mention an unusual event like a distant neighbor having landed in his compound in a helicopter. Listener Joe will quip:<\/p>\n
\u201cTiana ngo?\u201d that is to say \u201cCan you swear?\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr or Mrs speaker spontaneously will respond:<\/p>\n
\u201cEnkoba endie!!\u201d which literally means \u201clet the lightning \u2018eat\u2019 me<\/p>\n
Or the other expression:<\/p>\n
