They may be the reason why so many dreams go unfulfilled? It\u00a0is easy to lose focus and\u00a0forget your vision , when the detractors look, feel and sound like friends. Case in point<\/p>\n
Example 1. You want to lose weight and so you join the Gym. When the results start showing, you attract attention and people start complementing your new look and how that red kit ‘really accentuates your figure’<\/em><\/p>\n At first, you appreciate the compliments, but your attention is drawn to things you never noticed because they were not important to your cause. Oh, but if you look that good, you tell yourself, then maybe you should wear the red kit more often. If you add up these little suggestions over time, they start to cloud your vision. Why was it you joined the gym again?<\/p>\n Example 2. You decide to save and invest aggressively because you want to increase your future\u00a0income. When you start to do well, your friends gather around and point out all the things you can now afford. Did you know with that amount of money you can take a vacation abroad with your whole family? Wow! you can now buy that \u2018very expensive version\u2019<\/em> of that equipment you needed with those additional features that can basically bring you back from the dead.<\/p>\n And before you know it, you are spending all your money on things you didn\u2019t really want while your ambition weathers away.<\/p>\n So, beware of the sweet-talking detractor\u2026Their words are like rain.
