I\u2019m angry. Some guard at school today made a comment insinuating that maybe I could buy them something rather than eat lunch by myself\u2026 Listen, I\u2019m not against using your money to butter up the staff, if you have it. But I refuse to believe that the impetus of it should come from anyone but you. (Unless of course you\u2019re dealing with some government office, or trying to expedite a process or other)<\/p>\n
I mean it\u2019s your<\/em> money. And even if you do seem to have enough of it to spend on nice things for yourself, it doesn\u2019t mean that you can afford to add somebody else to your daily budget. There is nothing wrong with using your money the way you want, but some people, when they notice something, will try to take advantage.<\/p>\n At risk of sounding like a stingy snob, I am not happy. I know this guard. She has been around for a while, compared to some of the others and honestly, I kind of like her. But this, will not do. And I\u2019m finding that I\u2019m very bothered. When she said it, I was surprised enough that I nodded, but right now I\u2019m stewing in distaste.<\/p>\n This is why they say boundaries are really important. Set them early and clearly and you won\u2019t have to worry about bleeding colors.<\/p>\n No! I won\u2019t do it. I don\u2019t have to do it and I refuse to be made feel bad about it. I feel like maybe I should have said something directly to her, but I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Maybe I won\u2019t for today. Because I\u2019m the type that hates confrontations, I\u2019m not afraid of them, but I hate them. I\u2019ll let this slide for now. It sounds cowardly, I know, but I would like to think I could dismiss this as a fluke and just go on like normal. I won\u2019t rock the boat yet, for the sake of my continued peace.<\/p>\n But if she does it again, sh** is going to get real. I really honestly feel like it is out of line. I\u2019m really bothered. It\u2019s the kind of behavior to nip in the bud, wherever it happens. Don\u2019t be too nice to say no when it comes to your own money and how you spend it, or you won\u2019t have anybody to blame but yourself.<\/p>\n That\u2019s it from me\u2026 See you guys next post!!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I\u2019m angry.
