She had been staring at the white and black so long she actually had stars in her eyes. She looked at her watch then observed, at the pitch blackness outside, without much surprise, that it was indeed as late as it felt. <!--more-->She stretched herself out shaking her limbs awake. It felt good. She got up, feeling the stiffness in her legs flex out and she sighed, sated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She had completed what she stayed behind to complete, but this probably did not make a difference. The next day she would probably wake up to the same amount of work and she would be in the office just as late again. She groaned. He didn\u2019t pay her enough for this. And as if conjured by magic, the phone rang. It was him. Her boss, Dorian Martelle. She groaned again, hesitating. It was the office phone. She could always pretend she was already out by then\u2026 She sighed, picked up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cHello, Olivia speaking.\u201d She began.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cHeey livy.\u201d Her eye twitched. He knew she hated it when he purred her name like that. His rumbling voice gave her all kinds of palpitations, good and bad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYes, sir?\u201d Her voice was tight. She could almost hear the smirk she knew was on his face.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDon\u2019t call me that!\u201d He said. She grinned<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDon\u2019t call you what, <em>SIR<\/em>?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI don\u2019t like it when you call me sir. You don\u2019t have to be so formal with me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI can\u2019t do that, SIR, it would be inapprop-\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI don\u2019t care about that, you are my Personal assistant. That officially makes you my best friend. And best friends don\u2019t call each other&#8230;.\u201d He stopped when he noticed the \u00a0blank silence. \u201cYou\u2019re not listening are you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After a moment she responded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDid you need something, Sir?\u201d she willed him to say no. She couldn\u2019t to do anymore work tonight.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYou sound tired. Are you busy?\u201d He asked almost sounding concerned. She snorted at that thought.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNever for you, Sir.\u201d Even as she said it, she resigned herself to another day of eye bags.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFantastic. I haven\u2019t seen you all day. Swing by my place in\u2026 30?\u201d He didn\u2019t wait for her to confirm.
